Becca Smith is an associate with the firm. Prior to joining Brown & Peisch PLLC, she was an associate at a major D.C. law firm, where she worked in the Federal-State Programs practice, the Health Care group, and the Litigation group.
At Brown & Peisch, she continues to focus her practice on advice and litigation involving Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and the Affordable Care Act, as well as non-health care entitlement programs such as Foster Care and Adoption Assistance. Becca has represented clients in cases before the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Departmental Appeals Board, and defended state agencies in challenges to their public assistance programs. Becca has also advised technology companies on digital health issues, including the application of Medicaid and Medicare regulations to new technology and state telemedicine regulation.
Becca also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing a client in seeking asylum.
